About Hearing Loss Legal Fund

Who We Are

The Hearing Loss Legal Fund (HLLF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing justice for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (D/HH) community. Founded by legal professionals with deep ties to the D/HH community, HLLF provides funding for legal representation, promotes legal education and advocacy, and works to break down communication and cultural barriers in the legal system.

Our mission is to ensure that every person—regardless of hearing ability—has equal access to justice, while fostering partnerships with educational and legal institutions to expand research and awareness of the legal rights of Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals.

The Hearing Loss Legal Fund was created out of a need for a dedicated organization that focuses specifically on the legal challenges faced by the D/HH community. We understand that legal systems often overlook the unique needs of individuals with hearing impairments, and our goal is to ensure they are not left behind. With your support, we can continue to advocate for justice and equality for those who need it most.
